Daisy is a beautiful 3 year old who’s current owner thinks she would love a home as an only dog because he thinks she is a jealous dog when their own older male GSP is having attention because she shoves him out of the way so she can be nearest to you. He said that she has a lot of love to give and wants a lot of love back. She is a great dog full of fun and life and she wants to please you all of the time.
Daisy has been in this home since the beginning of July and arrived starting her season, she’s been very hormonal, so much so that she’s had three times when she’s gone for the older neutered male. Now that her season is over thankfully she’s settled back down with him again.
She had originally been found as a stray so her life these last few months have been very traumatic and she needs time to really settle and feel like herself again. We will be looking to have her neutered around three months after her last day of her season which we will cover for her.
Daisy is fine to be left for 2-3 hours after exercise, her owner has been working on her recall on a 20m lead while she’s been with him. She does have a high prey drive and he says her hunting instinct takes over on times. She’s walked on a harness but walks better on a head collar like a Dogmatic or Halti type.
Daisy has been wonderful around any children that she’s met and as long as they are happy to fuss her she will enjoy it. However she’s not a fan of being manhandled so only dog savvy older children will be considered.
Her owner has a pond in the garden and she’s been a nightmare in and out of it all the time so it’s now been fenced off.
When she’s seen a cat she is overly interested and we believe she would chase so sorry no cats.
She’s shown no problem around livestock, but has always been on lead when she’s met them.
When she meets other dogs out on a walk she might bark, she seems fine with some while barks at others so this will need some work building up her confidence so that she thinks new dogs are great because she gets lots of delicious treats for ignoring them.
Daisy is a good traveller and will now jump in the car and go on journeys, in the beginning she was nervous of jumping into the car so we believe it wasn’t something she was used to, but the more she jumps in following the older, calmer male and they have great adventures the happier she’s become in the car. She is a happy healthy girl who enjoys long walks and games in the garden.
Daisy is in the Dorset area and will be rehomed with her 5 weeks free Agria Insurance and our Adoption Contract.
