This very sweet girl is 9 year old Darcy. Very sadly her elderly owner has been placed into a residential home and we were asked by her owner’s lovely friend, who is looking after Darcy, if we could find homes for Darcy and her two daughters.
The daughters needed to stay together because they are so close and share a huge bond, but mum Darcy will be quite happy with other dogs or people who are around all the time.
We have managed to find a wonderful home for the two sisters and they will be moving very soon 🥰🥰
Darcy is a very happy, healthy and sociable girl. She really loves her walks and walks very well on her collar and lead. She is sociable with dogs that she meets and will recall to the whistle and her name. She’s also lovely to strangers and people that she comes into contact with and is happy for any amount of fuss.
Darcy loves cuddles and will snuggle up all evening on the sofa with you. 🥰
She’s only been left with her daughters for company so we are unsure how she will be left alone. With the girls she could be left up to 4 hours.
She has lived happily with a cat - if it ran she would follow it but never touched it. She’s also been very excited to see the young grandchildren when they visited, although the three girls together could be rather clumsy wanting to greet the children 🥰🥰🥰.
She’s a great traveller and loves going on outings in the car, especially to the beach.
We don’t know how she’s been around livestock but we think she would be fine after careful introductions.
Darcy used to sleep on her owner’s bed curled up with her daughters so would need time to settle if sleeping in a different room alone. She is fed Arden Grange senior chicken which she enjoys.
