Dixie is a beautiful 12 month old GSP X EP, she is a beautiful, playful youngster who has been living in a rural environment with her English Pointer mum and her sister who we have just found lovely new homes for and are settling in very quickly. Sadly their owners have had to make this decision to rehome them through ongoing ill health.
Dixie is a smaller girl, confident full of energy, very loyal great with dogs, cats and other animals fine with sheep (so far) born and grew up on a small holding.
She hasn't done much on a lead but getting very much better walking on a slip lead or a collar and lead. She has had basic training and is very eager to learn, she may not be completely toilet trained but again is quick to pick things up when encouraged. Great off lead and can be trusted on open ground.
She Loves all toys and loves to be the centre of attention but equally as happy to chill out while having a fuss and cuddle after she had her exercise.
She hasn’t been left on her own without the company of her sister, so another dog would be great to work as a playmate and mentor for Dixie.
Meeting new dogs Dixie is very out there… she loves everyone and thinks she is the greatest thing in the world and everyone just loves her, she hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like.
For our cat owners looking for a lovely dog, Dixie will happily share her bed with their 3 cats.
Around livestock they have never had a problem she has been round sheep and horses since born.
She loves all children but can be full on when wanting to play but a firm No and she will settel right down she does not snatch food ect just wants to be a princess and play with them. She has been living with children 5 years up to teenagers.
She has a great recall on their private land but this hasn’t been tested elsewhere, Dixie travels well and enjoys trips out in her dads works van.
Dixie is currently in Rhayader in Powys and will be rehomed with her 5 week free Agria insurance and our Adoption Contract.
