This is Percy Pointer we believe he is probably around 8 weeks old. He was found dumped in a bush covered in his own vomit and feaces.
Fortunately for him the most amazing dog warden rescued him and he was rushed into the vets for treatment.
Percy was in a desperate state very underweight and testing positive for Canine Parvovirus.
It has been touch and go for several hours for this sweet little fella and through it all he has tried to wag his tail and respond to the wonderful, lifesaving care given to him by the brilliant vets and their staff.
His appetite has picked up and even after his bloods took a strange turn this morning, he seems to be getting stronger and looking more responsive by the hour.
We are urgently looking for a dog free, experienced home (due to the risk of possible infection and assuming that Percy hasn't had any vaccinations), that can collect Percy from the vets on Friday 9th June and continue his care that we will be funding.
Percy might not be a pure breed Pointer but he definitely deserves the chance of the best life that we can find him after this dreadful start.
The upto date prognosis from the vets is that Percy will make a full recovery.
