Aiva has had an amazing 6 months with her new family, who love her to bits. She was adopted in December 2017 and has settled really well and enjoys her training classes. The two daughters of the family have plenty of love to go around, and she enjoys plenty of attention.
In August 2018, she was joined by Bailey, another dog needing a new home. They make a gorgeous couple and are doing really well together.

This beautiful little girl is Aiva - she is a smaller, nearly three year old pointer at 17 kg. She’s a very affectionate girl who loves her cuddles, especially on her lovely owner’s lap 🙂.
She is being rehomed due to family illness, which means that Aiva isn't getting the exercise that she is used to. She is very much loved and will be dearly missed by her lovely mum.
Aiva is a sociable girl but can be nervous in new situations- she settles well with calm reassurance.
Aiva definitely doesn't do cats or small furries due to her high prey drive. We don't know how she will react around livestock, she has no experience with them.
She travels very well in the car, just curls up and goes to sleep 🙂. She is generally sociable and playful with other dogs, but if the dogs are too intrusive while she is on lead she can become reactive, growling or even giving a warning nip.
She is now calmer with children after retraining from her owner; she was originally very nervous of them and as a result we will not be rehoming Aiva to a family with young children. We will consider dog-savvy 10+ year old children who will understand Aiva’s nervousness.
Aiva holds a full pet passport and is fully vaccinated after originating from Romania. She is not spayed and this will need doing as part of our rehoming contract. She can be left with the owner’s other dog for up to 5 hours quite happily; she checks out the counters in the kitchen but then will settle down peacefully.
Aiva is fed Acana moistened with water in the morning and Natures Menu raw food in the evening.
Aiva will need on going training as her recall needs work when she is out and about because she is very easily distracted. She loves to please and will try to do the right thing.
