Delilah has settled very quickly into her lovely foster home. She’s been enjoying being the only dog and loving her trips to the beach and outdoor cafés.
She has been wonderful meeting all the family members and loving all the cuddles and attention.
She has been reactive to a few dogs initially but this has improved in a short space of time, she particularly dislikes the dogs that run up into her space. Delilah had been living with a reactive Vizsla so she’s now understanding that there’s more treats when you don’t react 🥰🥰
She’s also met a friends terrier puppy who walked with them, she grumbled a bit initially but then with both on leads she was absolutely fine walking with him.
Lilah has always been a much loved girl who enjoys playing ball and is looking for a caring home with someone to throw it for her and give her time and attention that she loves. 🥰🥰
Lilah definitely doesn’t do cats and has chased deer. We will only rehome her to a home with teenage children.
She is currently in the OX10 area her full post is further down.
Delilah also has her own Instagram page set up by her foster parents.

This beautiful girl is Lilah short for Delilah, she has just turned 5 years of age and is fit, healthy and active.
Her family have had to make this sad decision to find her a new home after she recently dispatched two young deer in the woods where they live, so now can’t be trusted off lead just in case she brings another one down. She had already dispatched one last summer when it got trapped. It is believed that if she saw sheep or a cat running then she would probably chase them too, so a cat free home away from deer and sheep is a must.
Lilah does enjoy being out on her walks and does have a good recall when she isn’t following the scent of a deer.
Lilah lives with two dogs at home, a nine year old Vizsla and a fourteen month old Vizsla, she adores them and plays exceptionally well with them. She loves to play with them both and there is never any nastiness. She isn’t a fan of small fluffy dogs or spaniel type dogs and has pinned one in the past. Bigger dogs she’s usually fine with, she can be a bit nervous to start with and vocal with her nervousness. She is very strong on the lead, so if lead walking she needs a halti or harness to help control her.
She does growl a low pitched growl under her breath, when she’s on the sofa after being exercised and is tired wanting to be left alone and sleep. Lilah has recently done this low pitched growl to their 18 month old granddaughter when she touched her paw while Lilah was sleeping on the sofa. So we won’t be rehoming Lilah to a family with children or visiting children in case this intensifies.
In the house she is a loving girl and very quiet. Usually she takes herself off up to bed and you don’t know that you have her.
She is neutered, travels very well and is used to having brief stays in kennels while her family have been on holiday. She is fine when left alone with the other dogs for 3-4 hours and just sleeps. She’s fully vaccinated including kennel cough until October 2022.
Lilah is currently in the Hampshire area and will be rehomed with her 5 weeks free Agria insurance and our adoption contract.
