We found a lovely home for Duke very quickly and were ale to negotiate his release to us. He took some time to adjust to his new home and is doing really well. His dad is finding out about lots of training options for him and loves him dearly.
April 2018
We have been asked to help Duke a very sweet and very excitable 4 year old GSP.
He has been living with his elderly dad who has sadly been taken very ill, so Duke is now looking for his Happy Ever After.
We have been told that Duke has enjoyed gundog training with his dad and follows hand and whistle commands, he also walks on a normal lead or slip lead and has a good recall.
He has never lived with another dog and his dad thinks he would rather be an only dog where he can be the centre of attention.
He is healthy and happy, he sleeps in the conservatory when left alone and will only be rehomed as an indoor dog as he loves his creature comforts.
We have been told that Duke is a very friendly boy, he has been on group walks with other dogs and is confident and excitable with the other dogs.
Duke travels well in the car just lies down and sleeps.
He has had no interaction with children of any ages so we won't be placing him in a family with children.
He has never met cats or livestock that we are aware of, so careful introductions would be needed.
He is fed dried food once a day, with hand fed treats during the day and at night.
This is very time sensitive for Duke because he has been placed into kennels with his dad being hospitalised.
He is currently in the Coventry area. Duke will be rehomed with his 5 week free Insurance and our Rehoming Contract.
