This sweet beauty is Elsie, she is 6 years of age and a happy, healthy, neutered and well trained girl.
Her family have had to make this very sad decision because Elsie enjoys the thrill of the chase with the sheep that have now been moved into fields in her surrounding area, which means that she is having to be kept on a long line while in her own garden because the family are afraid that she will escape again and damage the sheep, which she has done once previously.
She also likes chickens a little too much. So we won’t be looking to rehome her to a home with chickens or close to sheep.
Elsie is very good around larger animals like cattle, horses, goats etc. and will walk beautifully passed them.
She is also very gentle with children from as young as toddlers, after living with a six year old and a nine year old since she was a pup.
Elsie hasn’t lived with another dog however she has always enjoyed chasing around and playing with dogs on walks and there have been family visitors that have stayed with them that she’s had great fun playing with. Even while playing or out on her walks Elsie has a good recall to the whistle.
She loves going away to the caravan and is used to going into restaurants and pubs for meals while she’s away, she has been taught not to beg but to lay quietly under the table while they are eating.
She travels very well and will happily sit in the car if the doors are left open.
Elsie has had a good level of training and this will need to be continued because it’s something that she really enjoys.
She has been living with a cat who is a year her senior and definitely in charge in their relationship, she will however chase cats outside the home if they run.
Elsie is a very kind natured girl who has always loved being part of the family, she enjoys her training and exercise but also being cuddled up in her blanket with her family in front of the fire of an evening.
If you feel that you could offer this sensitive girl the home that she’s looking for please message us.
Elsie is currently in the Derbyshire area and will be rehomed with her 5 weeks Agria free Insurance and our Adoption Contract.
