Harley is a very handsome 6 year old male that is looking for an experienced HPR home with someone that understands the needs of an ex working dog that is used to strict rules and regulations. He has lived in a home with a lovely young family who showered him with love and affection which he adored, but after a few months he started to become reactive to other male dogs while out on walks and had several scuffles with the older male resident dog over toys.
He loves his walks and has a very good recall to the whistle, he is neutered, healthy and travels very well, he hasn’t met any cats or livestock but it’s believed that he might chase given the chance.
He is very good with children, very tolerant with youngsters but prefers children that can play ball with him, which he loves.
When left alone in the home he barked and whined showing signs of separation anxiety even though he hadn’t show this behaviour when he first arrived to the home, he is much calmer when accompanied by another dog especially a female. Harley has opened the utility door and went through the bin, he had also chewed household objects.
Harley is looking for a home with someone who can be around to give him the company and attention that he loves with the rules and regulations that he feels more comfortable understanding.
We won’t be Rehoming him with another male dog but would consider a friendly female.
