Gorgeous 8 month old Hunter’s family have had to make the heartbreaking decision to find him a new home because he is proving too much for them with their toddler and the resident Cocker that has taken a huge dislike to the boisterous pup.
Hunter originated in Romania and has already had several homes, so we are looking for an experienced home that understands GSPs and are prepared to work with this youngster to help him be the best version of him that he can be.
Hunter has suffered from Giardia before he moved to this home and because of this has found it difficult to put weight on. He has now been successfully treated and has started to gain a little weight which is very positive. They have tried lots of wheat free dog foods but they have found that raw food is easier for him to digest so we are looking for a raw feeding home for him.
He is a very loving boy and a very good pup his owners have said, which has made this decision even harder for them, he is amazing with the children and everyone who meets him loves him. He does show signs of separation anxiety so we will be looking a family that are around the majority of the time.
Hunter isn’t a great traveler at the moment after his long journey from Romania then several moves to new homes. But we hope that this will improve when he starts to go to lovely places now that lockdown is over.
Hunter hasn’t been introduced to livestock or cats so his reactions are unknown. He is great playing with other dogs and loves their company.
He has started his basic training and is enjoying it with his current family. This will need to be concentrated on over the coming months so that he can live a full happy life.
