This very handsome lad is 4 year old Jasper, he is very much loved and looking for a new home because his owners feel that he needs much more attention than they can give him at this time duo to a growing family and their work commitments.
He is a smaller, solid boy weighing 22kg who was bred in USA, then lived in Canada and has been in the UK for two years.
He loves to free run on the trails and does this with his owner at least 4 times a week. He also loves really long walks, where he checks in on everyone frequently, he has a great recall to his name and a human whistle.
He also loves cuddles and fuss, with his head and front paws on your lap, he will enjoy this all evening given the chance.
Jasper can be aloof with other dog’s out on walks, but does enjoy the company of family dogs that he sees regularly, a young female GSP and a young female Labradoodle he will play for hours with these girls.
Even though he’s a smaller lad he is very strong at the start of the walk, his owner said that even if he’s had 3 walks he would still pull on the 4th, so he wears a head collar or harness to help with this, he is also used to being walked twice a week with a local dog walker.
Jasper is currently living with a 3 year old child and is very patient with him, but his owners know that he isn’t that interested in the little boy and will get up and move away from him. He hasn’t come across many older children but the ones he has met again he was quite aloof with.
Jasper hasn’t seen many cats but it is believed that he would chase. He has once entered a field that had cows in it, he ran up to them and barked then came back when called to his owner. So he would need careful introductions.
Jasper is raw fed, he eats 650-700g daily spread over two meals which he absolutely loves. He is neutered, healthy and vaccinated, he travels very well and is crate trained, he has also spent a week in a kennel and wasn’t overly stressed. He’s also fine to be left for 2-3 hours after exercise home alone.
