Lana is a gorgeous girl of about 3 to 4 years old and we are LOOKING FOR A LOVING HOME to give her the care and comfort she deserves. We would also consider a FOSTER home to allow us to assess her more fully in a home situation. (One of 2 Serbian girls we are helping, who are currently being looked after by Balkan Underdogs, a non-breed-specific rescue. The other girl is Bonnie).
Lana was found wandering a busy highway in Serbia in October 2017 and rescued by amazing people there. They thought she had probably had puppies, but they were nowhere to be seen. It is likely she was used for breeding and then dumped. She is a really elegant, lively girl, with a high prey drive (see the video of her in the comments). She loves human contact and gets on well with all the dogs in the rescue kennels. She is neutered and healthy and we hope to bring her over to the UK towards the end of September.
She probably has no recall at the moment and this has not been tested since in rescue. She may never have lived in a home so may well not be house trained or know how to play with toys. She will need a kind and patient home willing to work on basics like this with her. The rewards will be huge 🐾💜.
She is not cat tested and it is not known how she is with children, so if going to a forever home, we would not home to a family with young children. She has been fine when travelling. She is fed basic food twice a day.
