We would like to introduce you all to our newest team member Livvy who had her 3rd birthday today 🥳🥳🥳 💜
Livvy came to the rescue as an emergency foster. She is currently in training as a cuddle giver and face washer ready for a time when events such as Meet the Breed Day, Pointerfest and Crufts can happen again.
Her treat-taking skills are rapidly improving and her love of the people who give them has grown exponentially, ready for that time.
Her big brother Baylor is overseeing her development and is happy to have a new little sister after his big sister Evie crossed rainbow bridge before Christmas.
Which means Cam and Deb have officially joined the “Failed Fosters Club” 🙈😂😂
Livvy can’t wait to meet the rest of the team and looks forward to representing the rescue at future events. 💜
Livvy's story started long before anyone knew of her existence when Sue Harris saw an advertisement for a young GSP bitch being marketed as a potential breeding machine. Sue sent a mayday out on social media to fellow GSP owners and dog lovers to try and raise enough funds to buy her. Sadly it was too late to help that girl but the funds raised were set aside for future in the hopes that next time it wouldn't be too late.
This is where Livvy's story really begins.....
A breeder well known to many, was offering Livvy up as a potential breeding machine having already had several litters from her even before she had lived a life of her own. She had never enjoyed the love and care she deserved. Her home was a kennel, her food had to be guarded, her exercise was a kennel run. It took all the funds raised to purchase her but boy was it worth it.
She was generously gifted to GSP Rescue UK
This is just one story out of many to show how every donation made to our Rescue by all you generous folk can make such a difference to a GSP in need.
