This gorgeous girl, Loukia, is LOOKING for her own forever home. (There are more photos on our Facebook page).
Loukia is about 2 years old and was found in the mountains of Greece, thin and sad, a few months ago. Her rescuers made sure she was safe but no owner was found. We have agreed to rehome her since she is with a small, non-breed specific rescue group.
Loukia is a lovely dog - great with people and other dogs. We aren’t sure how she would be with children, so we wouldn’t rehome her with very young children. We also don’t know how she’d be with cats or livestock.
She is healthy and travels well in the car. She’s been well looked after since being rescued, and gained weight, and was recently neutered. Her level of training is unknown and, as with many abandoned dogs, she might never have lived in a home, so she may not be house trained. She’s quite laid back but may need basic training in all areas, such as lead work, and may not yet have any recall.
Loukia is ready to travel from mainland Greece now.
If you think you could give this lovely girl a loving home, where you will give her plenty of mental stimulation, training and exercise, and have the patience and love to let her adjust to home comforts, and gradually learn how to be a fabulous pet, please let us know.
