Nala

Origin: England / Age: 1 year 11 months

Summer 2018
Nala is a wonderful family dog. She looks quite different now she has gained a few kilos and she is still very pretty. Her recall still needs careful work and her family love her lots.
9.1.18 - Nala went home to her new family today. She has been such a good, sweet girl in her first few days. She has had loads of walks and enjoyed snuggles on the settee. :)

2.1.18 Meet Nala πŸΎπŸ’- a lovely Pointer/Spaniel/Weimeraner cross who needs to find a new forever home due to a change in her family's situation. Ideally we hope to rehome her within a few weeks.
Nala is a really pretty girl who is 1 year and 11 months old. She is a very energetic and enjoys plenty of running and exercise of any kind. She can be very bouncy around new people in the home but settles quickly and loves a cuddle. She has been having about an hours walk a day but could do more. She enjoys chasing a ball and is getting better at bringing it back. She is a counter surfer and will raid the bin if able, but she won't take food from you.
Nala walks on a slip lead, though she would benefit from further work on this. Her recall is OK - she will chase rabbits and squirrels, but has only disappeared for a few minutes at a time. She works better off lead than on and will walk to heel. She recalls to her name. She doesn't know many other commands.
Nala was neutered in October. She is now fed Jack Wolf frozen food, having recently changed from wheat free kibble. She has this over 2 - 3 meals a day.
She behaves very well when left alone - she usually just sleeps. She has been left for up to 5 hours. She sometimes sleeps in a crate, or at other times in the living room.
Nala has lived with a few other dogs, and gets on well. She can be a bit over dominant with smaller breeds, and a little protective at first, if she thinks a dog is a threat.
Nala cannot live with cats - she chases and fights with them. She would also chase sheep and cows.
Nala has lived with a 2 year old and small baby and is very good with them - she only really shows interest if they have food!
Nala travels well in the car or a van - she will whine with excitement when she things she is going for a walk.
