This stunning little girl is 2 1/2 year old Peggy, her lovely family have had to make the really sad decision to find her a new home because Peggy suffers from separation anxiety. They have worked on this with her and managed to build up the time for Peggy to feel comfortable being left to 2-3 hours. But for no obvious reason to the family, Peggy has suddenly gone back to being very upset and even howling and pacing when sheโs left for even the shortest time. This could be environmental eg. If the neighbours are looking after young grandchildren or have a noisy puppy, but itโs making it harder and harder for them to leave her knowing sheโs so distressed.
Peggy is a lovely, sensitive natured, neutered, 22kg girl, who has many canine friends through doggy daycare which she loves and family dog members. She is a more confident girl when she's been visiting at family members homes with their dogs, she has also been to small home boarders, where she was very happy staying with their 4 English Pointers.
Recently the couple had builders in and Peggy was very good, she had a bark when they knocked the door, gave them the once over as they came in, then sat and watched them work from the comfort of her bed.
She loves her long off lead walks where she has a good recall to her name and she enjoys playing with all her friends.
Peggy loves at least one long daily off lead walk, her owners have also walked her into town to sit and have a coffee, which she is happy to do.
She does hate being cold so enjoys being wrapped up in the cold or wet weather. She also enjoys plenty of lap cuddles, when she gets overexcited, she can be calmed down by picking her up, sitting her by the side of you massaging her neck and ears and she is happy to watch the world go by! She enjoys being with you and will happily ride in the car whilst you go about your business, happy to sleep in boot whilst you leave her. She is used to all household noises, not always keen on hoover or lawnmower, but will take herself to the sofa and
watch until the job is done!.
Regarding cats she has only met one whilst on lead, her owner thinks she may be frightened of them, but would chase if off lead.
Peggy hasnt had any interactions with young children, however if she passes any children in the park she just ignores them, she will be too bouncy and clumsy on times for small children. She loves to play with older children, especially football, she doesn't always return the ball though ๐
Peggy recalls well to her name and when on a walk they have used a slip lead, harness and figure of 8. She can pull at the start of the walk but walks back calmly at the end.
Peggy hasn't had any introductions to livestock so careful introductions would be needed.
