This very handsome youngster is Scooby, he’s believed to be a GSP cross Springer Spaniel 4 years of age.
Poor Scooby has had a lot happen already in his short life so we need to get him in a special forever home very soon.
Scooby has been in a rescue shelter then adopted, but he was then sold on to a new home. He was picked up as a stray without his microchip being up to date after being hit by a car 😔 then a kind lady nursed him back to health and advertised him needing a good home. This is where another lovely lady took him in and contacted us.
Scooby has been wonderful with her 12 year old son, very loving and friendly, they have even been playing together recently.
Scooby has been very good with the resident GSP until yesterday when they had a falling out. So we think he would prefer to be an only dog.
Scooby really enjoys going to the yard to sort the horses 🥰 he’s been very good with the them, but while on a long lead Scooby chewed through and had a great time running around the paddocks 🙈😂
Now he’s on a metal line so that doesn’t happen again 😉
Scooby is a fan of ducks and jumped into the canal to get up close and personal with them, he has also looked very interested in the local deer and has tried to chase them.
He is still entire and has just had his vaccinations restarted by this owner. He travels well even though he can appear nervous when he first gets into the car.
We don’t know what he will be like with cats but it’s believed with his prey drive that he will chase.
Scooby absolutely loves human attention with lots of sofa cuddles, he’s a very loving and gentle boy who is looking for someone to love 🥰 he really enjoys going on long walks even though at the moment is still on a long line and harness because his recall is unreliable as you would expect from all the moving around that he has had in his life.
He appears to enjoy training sessions with this owner and has shown improvements already. Bless him 🥰
He has been left for a short period, with canine company and was calm and settled when they returned.
Handsome Scooby is currently in the West Yorkshire area and is looking for a loving home where he can get the one to one attention that he loves and deserves. 💜
He will be rehomed with his 5 weeks free Agria Insurance and our Adoption Contract.
