This very cheeky little chap is Uncle Monty, he is 6 months old and a really lovely boy. His family have had to make the sad decision to find Monty a new home because after Covid their work situations have changed and they haven’t got time to carry on his training that he enjoys so much.
He does have a good level of training for a youngster of this age, he has the starting of a good whistle recall, he knows sit, lay down, touch and yes as a verbal cue. He is happily living with young children, who he adores and two cats who he likes to chase.
He is a very sociable and well rounded youngster around other dogs, people and children. He hasn’t yet met any sheep or cattle but has been nervous around the horses. He travels very well, is toilet trained, vaccinated and crate trained.
Uncle Monty, named after a film character loves to learn and have plenty of cuddle time. Due to his age he can only have short walks (20 mins plus 5 mins a month )so 50 mins max spread across the day at the moment.
He likes to play with toilet rolls and the kitchen roll if he can get to them, he will also try and grab food that’s left around unattended and with three young children that can happen quite frequently.
Uncle Monty doesn’t have any issues and has the basics of a good level of training thanks to his family, so we are looking for a home where this will be continued along with the experience, time and patience that is needed with a young GSP.
